Coach Getting Started Guide

Build Your Program on Athletix

Everything you need to go from sign-up to a fully operational program — step by step.

How to Sign Up

Follow these steps to get your coach account set up

Step 1

Sign Up or Log In

Go to the Athletix homepage and click "Sign Up." You'll land on a role selection screen — choose "I'm a Coach / Scout" to begin.

If you already have an account, simply click "Login" and you'll be redirected to continue your profile setup.

Step 2

Create Your Coach Profile

Fill in your full name, title (Head Coach, Assistant, Scout), sport, organization, contact info, and a brief bio. Add a profile photo so players recognize you.

Your coach type matters: College Coaches get full contact access to players. High School, Club, Youth, Trainers, and Administrators can browse profiles but won't see private contact details. Access is verified by our admin team.

Step 3

Account Approved Instantly

Once you click "Create Profile," your coach account is active immediately. You'll be redirected to the Scout Search page where you can start browsing athletes right away.

No waiting period — start searching, favoriting, and evaluating players as soon as your profile is created.

Step 4

Start Scouting Players

Use the Scout Search to find athletes by sport, position, graduation year, height, nationality, and more. Click any player card to view their full profile, stats, highlights, and evaluations.

Bookmark players to your favorites, add them to your roster, message them directly, or compare up to 4 athletes side-by-side.

Step 5

Create Your Program (Optional)

Ready to manage your team? Navigate to the Program Dashboard and create a program. Enter your program name, school, sport, division, state, conference, and upload a logo.

Creating a program unlocks the full coaching toolkit — roster management, evaluations, practice planning, calendar, scouting reports, and more.

Phase 1

Build Your Content Library

Phase 1 — Create reusable training building blocks

Start by building a library of drills, exercises, and activities. Each item is a reusable block you can drop into any program.

  • Go to Development Center → Content Library
  • Create a Content Library Item with title, category, sport, and position
  • Add coaching points, common mistakes, success criteria, and equipment needed
  • Attach media — images, videos, PDFs, and external links (YouTube, etc.)
  • Set visibility: Private, Organization-wide, or Athletix Global
Phase 2

Build Development Programs

Phase 2 — Structure multi-week training plans

Programs organize your library items into a structured hierarchy: Phases → Weeks → Days → Sessions → Activities.

Phase 3

Assign Programs to Athletes

Phase 3 — Deliver training to your players

Assign programs to individual athletes, position groups, entire teams, or organizations with start and due dates.

Phase 4

Athletes Complete Daily Training

Phase 4 — Athletes log their work

Athletes navigate to their current week/day, complete activities with one-tap checkboxes, and upload photo/video evidence.

Phase 5

Review Athlete Submissions

Phase 5 — Coach review and feedback

Review every submission in the Session Review workspace. Approve, request redo, score quality, and deliver feedback.

Phase 6

Track Progress & Goals

Phase 6 — Monitor development over time

Set development goals, award badges, create challenges, and track milestones. Performance charts visualize progress against goal targets.

Phase 7

Automation & Oversight

Phase 7 — Rules engine and audit trail

The Rules Engine automates workflows — goal completions trigger passport records, workout completions update streaks, and assignments notify athletes.
